Delete your FlauntBit account
Last updated 18 October 2026
You can delete your FlauntBit account and its data at any time, with or without the app. Here’s how, and what happens to your data.
1. Delete it in the app
This is the quickest way. Your account is deleted straight away.
- Open FlauntBit and go to your Profile.
- Tap the Settings (gear) icon.
- Tap Account settings, then Delete account.
- Tap Delete account again to confirm.
2. No app? Email us
If you’ve uninstalled FlauntBit or can’t sign in, email us and we’ll delete your account for you.
Or write to support@flauntbit.com with the subject “Delete my account”. Include your username and the mobile number or email you sign in with.
So that nobody can delete someone else’s account, we’ll confirm the request through the mobile number or email on your account before we delete it. We’ll reply within 30 days, usually much sooner.
3. What’s deleted and what’s kept
- Your profile, artist card, photos, Scene posts, thoughts and applause, connection list, blocks, survey answers and notification tokens are deleted straight away, and your profile link stops working.
- Your sign-in details (mobile number, email and Google or Apple link) are erased, and your sign-in identity is deleted from Firebase. We keep a closed-account record with no contact details, so the account can’t be used again.
- Messages you sent stay in the other person’s chat, shown as from “Deleted artist”, because they’re part of that person’s conversation too.
- Reports you made, and reports about you (including a copy of the reported content), are kept to keep FlauntBit safe and to meet legal obligations.
- If Indian law requires us to keep certain information for a set time after an account is closed, we keep only what’s required, only for that time, and only for that purpose.
4. How long anything kept lasts
- When you delete something, like a post, photo or link, we remove it from FlauntBit. Copies can stay in caches and backups for a short time before they’re overwritten.
- Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months, and crash reports for up to 90 days.
- Server logs are kept for as long as we need them for security and as the law requires. Indian data protection rules require certain logs to be kept for one year.
