Privacy Policy
Last updated 11 April 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information FlauntBit collects from you, why we collect it, and how we use and protect it. We've kept it short and direct — no dark patterns, no surprises.
1. Who We Are
FlauntBit (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an artist portfolio platform currently in beta. For privacy questions, contact us at support@flauntbit.com.
2. What We Collect
You give us
- Account details: phone number (or Google email), display name, profile photo.
- Profile content: bio, artist type, links, portfolio media (images, audio, video), tags, and any other information you choose to add.
- Communications: messages you send us via support email.
We collect automatically
- Technical data: device type, browser, operating system, IP address, and approximate location (city level), used for security and basic analytics.
- Usage data: pages viewed, features used, and error logs — used to debug crashes and improve the product.
- Cookies: we set strictly-necessary cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create your account and authenticate you.
- To display your portfolio and let other users discover you.
- To run, secure, and improve the Platform.
- To respond to your support requests.
- To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or illegal activity.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your information with advertisers.
4. Who We Share It With
We share data only with the service providers we need to run FlauntBit:
- Google Firebase — phone & Google authentication.
- Hosting & CDN providers (e.g. Netlify) — to serve the website.
- Object storage — to host your uploaded media.
- Sentry — to capture error reports and crash logs.
Each of these processors handles your data under their own privacy policies and only on our behalf. We may also disclose information when legally required (court order, subpoena, lawful government request) or to protect the rights, safety, or property of FlauntBit and its users.
5. What's Public, What's Private
Your profile, portfolio media, display name, and any links you add are public by default — that's the point of a portfolio platform. They may be visible to anyone on the internet and indexed by search engines.
Your phone number, email address, and account-level metadata are private and never shown publicly.
6. Data Retention
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your profile and portfolio content within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain records to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.
Crash and error logs are retained for up to 90 days.
7. Your Rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable laws, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Delete your account and associated data.
- Withdraw consent for any processing that relies on it.
- File a grievance with us (see Section 11).
To exercise any of these rights, email support@flauntbit.com. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Security
We use industry-standard practices to protect your data — HTTPS everywhere, HttpOnly session cookies, hashed credentials, and access controls on internal systems. No system is 100% secure, however, and we can't guarantee absolute security. If we discover a data breach affecting you, we will notify you in accordance with applicable laws.
9. Children's Privacy
FlauntBit is not intended for children under 13. If you're between 13 and 18, you may use the Platform only with consent from a parent or legal guardian. If you believe we've collected information from a child without proper consent, contact us and we'll delete it.
10. International Users
FlauntBit is operated from Gurugram, India. If you access the Platform from outside India, your data will be transferred to and processed in India.
11. Grievance Officer
